Slider pins must be removed, cleaned, and lubricated. High heat and moisture wear down the protective lubricants used to keep the pins sliding smoothly. The neglected sliders cause the pads to suffer uneven wear, and costly replacement. A common mistake from improper servicing is incorrect lubricant applied to the sliders.
