What’s a Mount & Balance?
Simply, mounting a tire to the rim means removing your existing tire from the rim and installing a new tire on that rim. This process is performed using a tire changer. A wheel balance is performed to evenly distribute the weight of the tire. Small weights are applied to each side of the rim to to ensure each tire is balanced equally. This process is performed using a wheel balancer machine.

THE MOUNT AND BALANCE PROCESS
The wheel assembly is clamped to the TireBot
Our tire machine does not clamp your rims on the inside using jaws, it clamps the rim on the middle using a plastic cone ensuring the rim does not get damaged.
The old tire is dismounted
Flawlessly remove any type of tire from your rim using a tire robot that delivers zero damage to your tire, rim, or pressure sensors. Allows perfect removal of low profile, runflat, and all passenger and light truck tires.
The rim is cleaned and sealed, and the valve stem is replaced
We clean light corrosion from the rim and apply bead sealer to the rim. This process will provide you with a leak free operation of your new tires. We will also change the tire valve with a new rubber high grade valve (if applicable).
The tire is mounted onto the rim
We apply tire lubricant onto the tire to allow for a smooth install. Our tire robot installs the tire onto the rim without any damage to the tire, rim or pressure sensors. Tire is inflated to recommend manufacturer tire pressure.
The tire is inflated
Using a computer calibrated gauge, the tire is inflated to recommend manufacturer tire pressure.
Bead massage is applied to the tire
With every mount and balance performed at our shop, the tire will be bead massaged. This specialized process applies a roller to the bead of the tire. This helps to correctly seat the bead of the tire to the rim. This procedure greatly reduces road force and variance in the tire.
Wheel assembly is Road Force balanced
The complete wheel assembly is removed from the tire changer, and now clamped to our Road Force wheel balancer. This machine takes conventional wheel balancing to a whole new level.
While the wheel is spinning to determine the balance, a roller applies 1200 lbs of force to the wheel. This simulates the wheel going down the road. There are sensors in the roller that detects variances in the tire tread. The machine then produces a road force measurement.
If the road force measurement is found to be excessive, corrective measures can be carried out. These include Force Matching or positioning higher road force tires in less sensitive areas of the vehicle (i.e. the rear of the vehicle).
