Inspection
Pre-Purchase Inspection
A used vehicle inspected on the hoist, with a written report.
Price
From $200

An hour of inspection before you buy a used car is the best money in the whole transaction. We put it on the hoist and go through it the way we would if it were already yours.
It includes a wheel alignment check on our 3D imaging aligner, with setback, track width, and wheelbase measured side to side. A car that's been in an accident can look perfect and still be out on those numbers, and they're one of the most reliable ways to find hidden frame or suspension damage.
You get an honest written assessment: what's wrong now, what's coming, and roughly what it will cost. Plenty of our customers have walked away from a car because of one, and plenty have bought with confidence.
Common questions
What does a pre-purchase inspection include?
A full inspection on the hoist, a scan for stored and pending fault codes, a wheel alignment check with setback, track width, and wheelbase measurements, brake, tire, and suspension measurements, and a check for evidence of accident repair or structural rust. You get a written report with estimated repair costs.
Can you inspect a car I haven't bought yet?
That's exactly what it's for. Arrange with the seller to bring the vehicle to us — a private seller or dealer who refuses an independent inspection has told you something useful for free.
Is it worth it on a car with a safety certificate?
Yes. A safety certificate confirms the vehicle met a minimum provincial standard on the day it was inspected. It says nothing about the transmission, the engine's condition, or how much you'll be spending in six months.
What if the car fails?
There's no pass or fail — you get the facts and the numbers. Plenty of our reports become a negotiating position rather than a walk-away, because now you know what the repairs will cost.
