A trouble code names a circuit, not a broken part. A lean-running code doesn't mean 'replace the oxygen sensor' — the cause could be a vacuum leak, a dirty mass airflow sensor, a weak fuel pump, or a dozen other things.
We use scan data, live sensor readings, and electrical testing to find the actual fault before quoting a repair. It takes longer than reading a code in a parts store parking lot, and it's the difference between fixing the problem and buying parts until it goes away.

Common questions
Can I keep driving with the check engine light on?
A steady light usually means you can drive carefully and book in soon. A flashing check engine light means an active misfire that can destroy the catalytic converter within minutes — stop driving and call us.
Isn't a free code read at the parts store enough?
A code tells you which circuit reported a fault, not which part failed. A P0171 lean code can be a vacuum leak, a dirty mass airflow sensor, a weak fuel pump, or a failing oxygen sensor — and replacing parts on a guess gets expensive quickly.
What does your diagnostic actually involve?
A full scan of every module rather than just the engine, live data and freeze-frame analysis, electrical and circuit testing, and smoke testing where a vacuum or evaporative leak is suspected. You get a written explanation of the fault and the fix.
My light went off by itself — am I fine?
Not necessarily. Many faults are intermittent and the code stays stored in memory even after the light clears, so we can still see what happened. Worth scanning rather than waiting for it to come back at a worse moment.
