Road Force Balance

Wheels balanced under simulated road load to find hidden defects.

Signs you need this

  • Steering wheel shakes at highway speed
  • Seat or floor vibrates above 90 km/h
  • A vibration that rebalancing somewhere else didn't fix

Conventional spin balancing only measures weight distribution. If a tire has a stiff spot, or a wheel is slightly out of round, it can balance perfectly on the machine and still shake at 100 km/h.

Road Force presses a loaded roller against the spinning tire to simulate the weight of the car on the road. That reveals variation weight alone can't detect, and the machine then tells us how to match-mount the tire to the wheel so the two cancel each other out.

This is the service to ask for when a vibration came back after a rebalance somewhere else.

Common questions

What is Road Force balancing?

The machine presses a loaded roller against the tire while it spins, simulating the weight of the car on the road. That reveals stiff spots and out-of-round conditions in the tire or wheel that ordinary spin balancing cannot detect at all.

Why does my car still vibrate after being balanced?

Because standard balancing only measures weight distribution. A tire can be perfectly balanced and still shake the car if it has a stiff belt or the wheel is slightly out of round — that's exactly the fault Road Force is built to find.

What is match-mounting?

Rotating the tire on the rim so the tire's stiffest point lines up with the wheel's low spot, cancelling the two out. It often smooths a wheel that no amount of added weight would fix.

Is Road Force balancing worth it?

If you've had a vibration that came back after a rebalance, or you're fitting expensive tires and want them right the first time, yes. For a routine tire swap on a car that drives smoothly, standard balancing is fine.
